Eastern Center for the Performing Arts
The Eastern Center for the Performing Arts (ECPA) is 1,300 seat, proscenium-style, climate-controlled theatrical venue nestled in the heart of Voorhees. Constructed of tongue and groove polished yellow pine, the stage is 50 feet wide by 33 feet deep and the stage wings are among the largest in the area. The ECPA has an large sunken orchestra pit, professional lighting and sounds systems, and Marley/Vinyl dance flooring available. It is also equipped with dressing rooms, 2000 sq-ft staging area, and is "outside equipment" friendly with many ways to integrate. Gymnasiums
Eastern houses four gymnasiums which can host a multitude of events. Three of the four gymnasiums have bleachers, scoreboards, and announcement systems. These gyms can be setup and used for basketball, volleyball, dances, and many other activities and can house around 800 people. The other gym is the "wrestling gym". A fully padded floor lends itself to be used for aerobics, wrestling, karate, and other hard impact activities.
Cafeterias
Two cafeterias both able to seat roughly 300 comfortably allow for even the biggest of events. With televisions, sound systems, and organized food lines, feeding and entertaining a group has never been easier. The cafeteria has ample lighting with dimming capabilities as well as many windows for natural lighting. Professional staff and clean kitchen facilities make for a pleasant atmosphere and an all-around wonderful experience.
Classrooms
Eastern has over 100 different classrooms available which range in size from 10 students up to 35 students per room. Mostly all rooms are equipped with a sound system, projector and either a screen or smartboard. There are TV's and VCR/DVD players in every room. Classrooms either have whiteboards or chalkboards installed and connections for projectors and sound systems as well as Wi-Fi internet access. They provide an optimal situation for learning to commence and students to thrive.
