Eastern Education Foundation
Welcome
The Eastern Education Foundation (EEF) was established for the purpose of providing funding for events, projects, trips and educational activities that fall outside of the school board budget. All of the funds we raise and distribute are through the efforts of the Board of Trustees.
The EEF is comprised of community residents, mostly parents of current or former Eastern students. We meet quarterly as a group to discuss fund-raising activities and to vote on the distribution of funds. There are also numerous other times when various committee members meet to plan, organize and implement fund-raising events. We work very closely with school administrators, teachers, other parent organizations, community groups and local businesses.
Pressure is never exerted upon anyone to contribute, even though the EEF is organized as a tax exempt organization. Therefore any contributions made are tax deductible. Instead, we run several fun filled events throughout the year. In addition, we host the "Taste of the Town" in the spring, whereby area food establishments display and share their culinary delights with all attendees.
We have no specific criteria for the distribution of funds. Typically, requests are generated by teachers, club organizers or student groups. One is limited only by his/her own imagination when requesting funds because we encourage creativity. The EEF also provides scholarship funds.
As with any volunteer group, the EEF is always looking for new blood to infuse new ideas and concepts for fundraising. Should you have an interest in joining not only a marvelous organization, but also a terrific group of people, please email or call at: (609) 352-4746.
