Hall of Fame

Overview

Eastern's hall of fame honors the outstanding, male and female, athletes and community members in throughout the history of Eastern High School. As such, the hall of fame committee will select a maximum of five inductees each year and, if desired, may add a special recognition inductee.

Eligibility

1. Must be a graduate of Eastern High School.
2. Must have graduated five years prior to selection.
3. Must be a varsity letter winner in one or more sports.
4. Nominee must submit detailed and accurate resume of recognition and achievements to the Hall of Fame Committee by the deadline stated.
5. Candidates for selection are nominated from the historical records of the Hall of Fame Committee, and from the Eastern Community at large.
6. Induction will be limited to a maximum of five per year.

Criteria for Selection

1. Awards/recognition received
2. Statistics available
3. Number of sports for which varsity letter was achieved
4. Contributions made within the realm of school activities during school attendance
5. Leadership
6. Character
7. Successfully established themselves in a life's career
8. Vocational achievements

Inductee Honors

1. Name placed on perpetual plaque on display in the school's trophy case
2. Individual plaque presented to recipient
3. Buffet dinner for recipients, and four guests
4. Presentation to take place prior to a home football game
